TRUE-ET, Kyla Piscopink & Keith Burnstein

Kyla and Keith met in New Orleans in 2013, and decided that, together, they had a story to tell. Their early discussions yielded the DKW-staged dual duo show, “Cherry Red” and later, the March 2018 workshop performance of this duet production. This fall, they’ve streamlined their vision even further and are proud to present their newest collection of “True-ets!”

Keith Burnstein is a New Orleans based singer-songwriter and pianist who pens timeless tunes to live by. His is a new American songbook, one that draws as much from Tin Pan Alley as it does from modern geniuses like Jeff Tweedy, Keith Jarret and Dr. John. “The songs, while instantly familiar, remain very much their own creations” (Secret Sound Shop),  “combining the bedroom intimacy of a singer-songwriter” (Seven Days VT) with the rich harmonic palette of jazz and R&B.
