Next up in the Blue Heaven Songwriters’ Series at The Studios is Toronto-based singer Jon Brooks. Brooks was New Folk Winner at The Kerrville Folk Festival in Kerrville, Texas, and has been nominated four times as Songwriter of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards for since 2007.
Balancing powerful political commentary with witty lyrics and a warm conversational tone, Brooks is the perfect anchor in crazy times. With a stage presence that could best be described as controlled and measured comedic anarchy, you can be certain that you’re in the presence of something truly unique.
