A chance meeting on a train platform is the spark that sets off this meticulous examination of human relationships. Mike Mulligan returns under the direction of Dennis Zacek, joined by acclaimed Chicago actress Dana Black. On its 2015 premiere, Ben Brantley of the New York Times called the play “shimmeringly and satisfyingly elusive.”
MIKE MULLIGAN is familiar to Key West audiences having performed on all its stages since 1973. Highlights of his many performances include Amadeus (Salieri) and Equus (Dysart), both by Peter Shaffer, Seminar (Leonard) by Theresa Rebeck, Cock (F) by Mike Bartlett and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Lawrence) by David Yazbeck and Jeffrey Lane. In addition to his work in theater, he is known as a cabaret entertainer performing with his two “buddies” in The Brotherhood Series at Tennessee Williams Theater.
Dana Black is thrilled to be working in Key West with Dennis Zacek and Michael Mulligan. Dana is a Chicago based theatrical, TV and voiceover actor. Some favorite Chicago theatre credits include Northlight Theatre’s THE BOOK OF WILL, THE FEW (Steep), ROLLING (Jackalope), TELL ME WHAT YOU REMEMBER (Erasing the Distance), ABRAHAM LINCOLN WAS A F@GG@T (About Face; 2015 Jeff Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress), HANK WILLIAMS: THE LOST HIGHWAY (American Blues; 2014 Equity Jeff for Best Musical), MISS MARX by Philip Dawkins (Strawdog), RABBIT (Stage Left), AFTER THE REVOLUTION (Next), BAAL (TUTA) and THIS HAPPY BREED (Timeline). Dana has also understudied at Steppenwolf, Goodman Theatre and Victory Gardens and is a graduate of The School at Steppenwolf. She has also appeared on NBC’s Chicago Med and the POP TV series Hot Date. She is represented by Grossman & Jack Talent and thanks Baude for his love and support.
