Anne McKee Artists’ Fund – 26th Fine Art Auction
February 4th thru February 17th 2021
If we know anything from our collective 2020 experience, things change. That includes the Anne McKee Fine Art Auction you’ve always held in high anticipation. This year you can expect fabulous artists and excellent deals as always. But the whole affair will happen online, so it will be safe, convenient, and fun for everyone.
Online viewing and bidding will begin February 4th at 5:30 PM and close at 8:30 PM on February 17th. If you would like to see the art in-person, it will be available for viewing-only at The Studios of Key West, 533 Eaton St, beginning February 4th. The Studios hours are 12-4PM, Tuesday-Saturday. All sales will be online. For viewing art, auction link, and other information, check out www.mckeefund.org.
Up for bid will be original paintings, sculpture, photography, fiber arts, ceramics, mixed media, jewelry, and more. Collectors can choose from the works of celebrated and renowned local masters to fresh new emerging talents.
Each participating artist receives 50% of proceeds from the sale of their work. The other 50% goes to fund grants for projects by local talent in the visual, performance, and literary arts. Founded by Key West art patron Anne McKee, the not-for-profit has awarded more than $330,000 to 400 artists since 1994.
“Think of all the galleries, exhibition openings, artist talks that make our community so culturally rich. That only happens if together we support our art makers,” said Kalo Clarke, President of the Board of Directors.
