Bitingly funny and heartwarming, Alligator Alley follows two childhood friends as they navigate the dystopian sprawl of Florida City and the wilds of the Everglades.
Headstrong Mayar wears a hijab, the traditional Muslim headscarf, and relies on both her sense of humor and her close friend, Becca, as she attempts to escape her current surroundings and start a new life outside of Florida City.
Directed by Zachary Fine, and starring Nayem Cardenas-Lopez as Mayar, Jordan Puhala as Becca and Julio Trinidad as Leonard.

Michael Marrero is a Cuban American artist who was born and raised in Key West, Florida. After setting upon a formal education in arts he established himself as a driven professional with a sharp eye for both the micro and the macro. His photo and video assignments have taken him from tropical paradises to shantytowns in Central America. He has dealt with the volatile and the delicate always finding the compassion, humor and humanity of his subjects. He currently lives in Key West with is wife and two dogs and can usually be found at The Porch having a cold beer with friends.
NAYEM CARDENAS-LOPEZ as MAYAR (top left) is an artist on a mission to receive and serve raw honesty. Her favorite mediums to do so are acting, singing, and playing guitar. Working on projects from the ground up is her cup of tea. Nayem is honored and joyed to get to be a part of Alligator Alley with such great folk in such a beautiful oasis. Her ongoing passion project is her band OatMilk!
JORDAN PUHALA as BECCA + multiple roles (top right) is thrilled to be on The Studios of Key West stage! She recently graduated from William Esper Studio and Texas State University where she studied acting and musical theater. Some of her other favorite roles include Diwata in “Speech and Debate” and Beatrice in “A View From The Bridge.” Check out her photography at @jordanpuhalaphotography on Instagram.
