WOMENFEST, Girl Noticed with Lori Pratico

Artist Lori Pratico creates a large-scale temporary mural in the Kat in the Hat classroom. On the evening of Sept 10th, visitors are invited to watch her put the finishing touches on her painting, then join the artist for a meet and greet cocktail hour. Girl Noticed is a national project that utilizes temporary murals to draw attention to the important role of women in our society.

“Through my artwork, I attempt to modernize the idea of “portraiture” Whether it be my subject or the style of my portraits, my goal is to create work that is both relevant and engaging. Being self taught there are no rules in my artwork. I create what to me, looks good. I experiment with different materials and resources and my only concern is the result, not the method I used to get there.” Lori Pratico
