This class is designed for those who have completed “Small Island…Small Prints.” Build on the techniques learned in the first class! Here’s the chance to further develop your printmaking skills. With the foundation of relief and intaglio already established, explore more advanced methods, including multi-layered prints, and refine your technique using the DIY printing press received in the first class.
Doreen Holley lives in Key West. She attended Parson’s School of Design, NYC BFA Rutgers University. She has a diverse background in printmaking, computer graphics, 3D printing and AR/VR.

Explore methods for and examples of using humor to bring out the emotional richness, big feelings, and heart in personal narratives. Employing a mix of literary examples (from David Sedaris, David Rakoff, Samantha Irby, Jeanette McCurdy, my own work, and others) and writing prompts, learn various comedic storytelling forms (narrative, list, satire, farce) as well as the components that make them strongest (perspective, dialogue, voice).

Fogaça captures the fluidity of contemporary urban landscapes. He translates Polish sociologist Zygmunt Bauma’s concept of “liquid modernity” into art, reflecting the constant transformation of cities due to technology, migration, and climate change. His vibrant paintings, characterized by fluid lines and organic forms, invite viewers to experience cities as dynamic, evolving entities, blurring the lines between reality and imagination while capturing the essence of modern urban life. “Liquid Cities” was presented at the ACA Santander Gallery in Spain in 2024.

The Roxbury International Film Festival is the largest New England festival dedicated to celebrating films by, for and about people of color around the world. The Studios, in conjunction with the festival, presents two films, Come On In by Daniel Callahan and Paul Laurence Dunbar: Beyond the Mask by Frederick Lewis. Both screenings are followed by talkbacks with the directors.

Paul Laurence Dunbar: Beyond the Mask explores the life of the first nationally renowned African American writer, known for poems like “We Wear the Mask” and “Sympathy.” Highlighting his literary legacy and activism against Jim Crow laws, the film features Maya Angelou and examines Dunbar’s complex navigation of race and art during the turn of the century.
Daniel Callahan is a multimedia artist, filmmaker and designer. Merging a legion of disciplines including painting, digital photography, film, music, writing and performance, Daniel works to craft immersive experiences incorporating story, ritual, and the human form to explore aspects of resilience and mysticism. Frederick Lewis, a writer, director, and professor at Ohio University’s School of Media Arts & Studies, creates award-winning documentaries featured on PBS and screened at venues like the National Gallery of Art. Andrea Lyman is honored to be invited to represent ROXFILM Festival at The Studios of Key West “Riff on ROXFILM”. Andrea on the board of Roxbury International Film Festival (RoxFilm Festival). She is currently the New England Local President of SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation Of Television and Radio Artists), a co-director of the Actors Forum of The Secret Society Of Black Creatives and on the Executive Board of the Greater Boston Labor Council. She plays the Leah, the mother, in Daniel Callahan’s award winning film COME ON IN which premiered at RoxFilm Festival. She has enjoyed appearing in several films over the years at RoxFilm Festival and is in a few films that have been submitted for consideration in the upcoming RoxFilmFestival in June 20-July 2, 2025. She can be seen in films currently touring the film festival circuit such as UGLY SWEATER which is scheduled for its first LA screening at the Pan-African Film Festival and the horror film, CROOKED FINGER and romcom PLUS 1’S (premiered at RoxFilm Festival). Andrea has played real life characters in the historical docudrama films HALF THE HISTORY: ELLEN GARRISON: AN ACTIVIST’S STORY playing Ellen Garrison (she also plays Ellen Garrison in a special film created for the upcoming 250th celebration of Concord, MA) and in NEGRO ELECTION DAY playing the Phyllis wife of the King. Andrea truly loves singing and performed in the Boston stage productions of MOMOLOGUES: THE MUSICAL. She performs her one woman musical show BROADWAY LADY. Andrea has performed in Radio City Music Hall’s CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR, ION-TV’s A SNOW WHITE CHRISTMAS.

Abby Rosebrock (Playwright) is a Brooklyn-based screenwriter, playwright and actress from South Carolina. Her original plays have been commissioned and produced throughout New York City, in Los Angeles and across the country. Full-length works include Wilma (commissioned by Manhattan Theatre Club), Blue Ridge (Atlantic Theater), Dido of Idaho (Ensemble Studio Theatre; Echo Theatre Company – LATB Award for Best Writing), Singles in Agriculture (The Brick, Aurora Theatre) and Different Animals (Cherry Lane). A proud alum of writing groups at Clubbed Thumb, The Orchard Project and Ensemble Studio Theatre.
Travis LeMont Ballenger (Director) is a producer, writer, dramaturg and creative director. His Broadway producing credits include MJ and Almost Famous. He has held executive producing/artistic directing positions at theaters around the country including Arena Stage, The Old Globe, Dallas Theater Center, Hip-Hop Theater Festival, and more. He developed work with several artists, including: Katori Hall, Lynn Nottage, Pearl Cleage, Lydia R. Diamond, and Radha Blank. He is a Partner at Spoke Media where he oversees their slate of podcasts, film, tv, documentaries, and theatre.
Nicole DuPort (Wilma) is a Los Angeles based actress. She played Crystal in the West Coast Premiere of Abby Rosebrock’s Dido of Idaho at Echo Theater Company. Nicole also appeared as Lina in Molly Smith Metzler’s Cry It Out and as Gloria/Nan in Gloria by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, both at Echo Theater. Other notable theater credits include The Shape of Things (Jenny), Savage in Limbo (Savage), Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck), Romeo & Juliet (Juliet), Cloud 9 (Ellen, Mrs. Saunders, Lin), Picnic (Millie). Nicole portrayed musician Amy Grant in Lionsgate’s box office hit I Can Only Imagine alongside Dennis Quaid. Other film credits include leading roles in Tooth & Nail with Michael Kelly and Rider Strong, and Southern Gothic with Yul Vazquez and William Forsythe. Nicole’s television credits include Grey’s Anatomy, The Last Tycoon, NCIS, Rizzoli & Isles, Vegas and more. Nicole studied Theater at UC Berkeley and Circle in the Square, improv training at Upright Citizens Brigade.
Naia Kearins (Tally) lives in the Bahama Village neighborhood of Key West with her dad and older brother Kristian. She attends Sigsbee Charter School where she is in 7th grade and loves English and Civics class. Naia has also been involved in a number of Key West’s youth theater productions over the years including shows with Bravo Theater, Fringe Theater, and The Studios of Key West with recent leading roles in The Addams Family and Zombie Prom. While many people think she looks like her dad, it was from her late mother, Dorthe — a long-time creative force on the island — that Naia gets all of her on-stage charm.
