“Music Rendezvous” features solo piano compositions in diverse musical styles by an international array of composers past and living. Music will meet poetry and art through the music of Maurice Ravel (France), Franz Liszt (Hungary), Miguel del Aguilar (Uruguay) and Su Lian Tan (Malaysia), amongst others. It will be an interesting journey to explore how each composer represents their artistic inspirations for the piano in their own way, how the performer interprets each work, and how each member of the audience responds to this immersive experience of color, expression and thoughts. Brief commentaries about each piece and composer will weave the entire program together.
