One of Cuba’s favorite artists, Tamayo is known for his good-natured but sharply drawn commentaries on pop culture, history and politics. Regularly appearing among his cast of characters are baseball players, fantastic art, surrealist painters and comic book characters. On his third visit to Key West, Tamayo presents a body of work created just for the occasion, including a collaboration with Miami-Cuban artist Nestor Arena.
