Drama Desk Winner & Tony-nominee Broadway star ANIKA LARSEN (star of the upcoming musical Almost Famous, also star of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Avenue Q, Xanadu, Rent, All Shook Up) & trumpeter FREDDIE MAXWELL (Larsen/Maxwell Quintet) team up for a concert of jazz, pop, Latin and Broadway tunes to mark to celebrate the creative spirit of the immigrants who created American music and benefit the programs of The Studios of Key West.

ANIKA LARSEN created the role of Cynthia Weill in the multi-award winning musical Beautiful: The Carole King Musical which ran for almost five years on Broadway. For her performance she was awarded the Drama Desk Award and nominated for a Tony Award. The actress and singer debuted on Broadway in Rent going on to appear on Broadway as Kate Monster/Lucy Slut in Avenue Q, All Shook Up and Xanadu.

Originally from Malone, NY, FREDDIE MAXWELL has been a professional trumpet player, arranger, composer and music educator for the past three decades. Maxwell has toured with Alicia Keys, Lionel Hampton, Jimmy Dorsey, and the Glen Miller Orchestra among numerous other bands, performing in major cities throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, and the US. His impressive versatility has brought him to fans of nearly all music genres. He has shared stages with iconic jazz and big band stars such as Frank Sinatra.
