Katrin Huber was born in Salzburg, Austria in 1980. She works with various media with a focus on painting. In 2012, she graduated from the Mozarteum University in Salzburg (painting class and sculpture class). She has worked as an artist in residence in Vantaa (Finland 2009), Frankfurt am Main (Germany 2011), Warsaw (Poland 2012), Chicago (USA 2018), in the VCCA (Virginia, USA 2019) and in Burgas (Bulgaria 2021). She has had art purchases from the State of Salzburg and the Federal Ministry of Arts and Culture. Through the Erasmus exchange program, she studied for a semester at the Akademia Pedagogiczna in the painting class, in Krakow, Poland, in 2007/08.
Huber had several solo exhibitions and various participations in Salzburg, Innsbruck, Vienna, Warsaw, Frankfurt am Main, Helsinki and Chicago. In 2010 she received the Theodor Koerner Prize for Science and Art for a Finish-Austrian art project. Since 2012 she is a member of the artist performance group Psyschwestern.
