Class Description

All of us have Key West stories to tell and this is your opportunity to write it with an award-winning memoirist. Author Janice Gary will lead 2 sessions in developing, writing and shaping your Key West narrative. Post-workshop, participants will have the chance to read their work at a special performance at the Studios, December 2, 7-9:30pm.

Meet Your Instructor

Janice Gary is the award-winning author of Short Leash: A Memoir of Dog Walking and Deliverance. A Pushcart-nominated essayist, she has been published in Brevity, Longreads, Potomac Review, River Teeth, Slag Glass City and others. As a teacher, writer and passionate advocate of literary nonfiction, she believes that writing our stories can be a radical act of transformation – personally, culturally and globally.
