Get all the tools you need to finally start writing for the screen with confidence. Learn how to develop your idea into the outline necessary to write the first draft of your film!
During this four-week fundamentals course, you will learn the core elements of writing a screenplay for a short film with award-winning filmmaker Marco Calvani as your guide. You’ll learn techniques and strategies that will inspire your creative process, and all his insights for channeling your emotions into your work.
Sessions include presentations, interactive exercises, homework and an optional one-on-one mentoring session focused on your project.
Ideal for beginners. Come prepared with a story idea that excites you.
Marco Calvani is an Italian born award-winning writer, director and filmmaker. Permanent artist-in-residence at La MaMa Theatre. US theatre credits include: The Rose Tattoo starring Marisa Tomei (Broadway, Roundabout, dramaturg), Beautiful Day Without You starring Dan Butler (Off-Broadway), Things of This World starring Estelle Parsons (La MaMa).
