Chantal trained at NYU Tisch School for the Arts and worked at the Drama League of New York and the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, and as the assistant director for both Mabou Mines in NYC and Theatre de la Jeune Lune in Minneapolis. Original works include The Love Party, an episodic participatory performance chronicling a perpetually-unlucky self-help group; The Political Party, a 2008 durational interactive Election Night event that began when polls closed and ended when the president was announced; The Game Show, a reimagining of 70s game shows where audience teams competed in original games; Relics, a sci-fi interactive exhibit that showed contemporary objects through an alien lens, created with an NEA grant for the Guthrie Theater; and The Dinner Party, a play with songs and snacks produced by The Studios of Key West. Classic adaptations include tres bitches -or- i wanna go to moscow, based on The Three Sisters, created for the Twin Cities Chekhov Festival, and Beggar on Horseback (Nellie Sunshine’s Ride to Hell), adapted for the Hangar Theater from the 1924 play by George S.
