Tom Charette, a retired school teacher and engineer, has lived in Key West since 1968. He has been involved with art in one form or another since his freshman year of college. Tom has worked with ceramics for 50 years, copper for 10 years but only started working with steel about 3 years ago.
“Welcome,” the title of this piece made of salvaged steel plate and rebar, is Tom’s third steel sculpture.
