Late summer visitors to our campus may have noted improvements, one after the other, to the Armory and grounds. Fresh paint on the front porch and main hall, new doors on the Mango Tree House, pigeon barrier above the entrance, and a whole lot of small projects now complete. All have been made possible by our incredible handyman in residence, Mike Ruetz.
Originally from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Mike arrived in Key West in late July. He has been criss-crossing the United States on a great American road trip. After a career in architectural sales, he hit the high road and is now gaining a passport to the Conch Republic. TSKW has benefitted by his presence and hard work, and we’re grateful to have him on campus. Just take a look at our beautified facilities and the ongoing projects Mike is involved in to prepare TSKW for the coming season.
The Studios of Key West is building a volunteer corps to support our 2009/10 season. We’re grateful to the dozens of people who have signed on and added their presence to the Armory. If you’d like to learn more about volunteer opportunities, simply call 296-0458.
