The Studios of Key West is a vibrant, multidisciplinary arts organization serving the
community of Key West and artists from all around the world. Based in a historic Armory
and surrounded by a small campus of studio buildings, The Studios presents a busy
schedule of programs including workshops, exhibitions, performances and lectures.
The Artistic Director is responsible for realizing TSKW’s programmatic goals. S/he is
organized and outgoing, with direct experience in arts programming and theater/event
management. S/he manages the curatorial process for workshops, exhibitions,
performances, readings and more, coordinating the schedule and leading program
discussions with Advisory Committees and staff. Although s/he has a broad grasp of
critical and popular trends across the arts, s/he is expected to take a more direct role in
performance programs including folk, rock, and classical music, and theater and
performance art. S/he has direct responsibility for managing most evening events,
including support staff and volunteers for tech, box office and audience management.
The position is offered full-time with benefits, at a salary commensurate with experience.
