Avis Collins Robinson’s paintings and quilts portray the essence of African American life and the deep, layered meanings of a simple word: soul. Tonight she is joined by her husband, Washington Post columnist and MSNBC commentator Eugene Robinson, for an “interview” and conversation about how art keeps us rooted in our history, while (perhaps) pointing a way forward in fractured times.
