Class Description

Sondheim’s catalogue, as both composer and lyricist, have led to remarkable changes in the crafting of the American musical. This three-session course examines the groundbreaking shows Company (1970), Follies (1971) and Passion (1994) through a socio-cultural lens. This course will cover different material than offered in Stephen Sondheim & the Reinvention of the American Musical.
