Joseph Cavalieri will bring his wit and artistic eye back to TSKW for a 4 day workshop for all skill levels November 8-11, 2013. This class builds upon the principles and practices of the class Joseph taught in during his residency 2012, with more emphasis on design and painting. Due to the small class size, it is also appropriate for students who are new to the medium. The course will cover the basics of cutting, copper foiling and soldering stained glass, as well as techniques of working with painting on glass that will be kiln fired.
“I will encourage students to experiment, mix in new materials and have lots of fun.” He will also present three lectures in class which include: his work, advice on artist in residencies, and how to get better press as an artist. Each student will go home with a 10 x 10 inch detailed stained glass window.
Students may opt to bring a brown bag lunch each day, or alternatively, an order will be taken each morning from a local restaurant for lunch delivery to The Studios.
