Slideshow

Sponsored by Charles Pearson Gallery

Produced by Marky Pierson and Mark Hedden, Slideshow is an exercise in experimental storytelling, like a story slam but without the slam, and with pictures. Participants tell short five-to-ten minute tales – some true, some fictional – illustrated by projected photos or drawings.

Presenters for this, the third edition of the project, include Joy Nulisch with a brief and definitive history of the controversial Glynn Archer tiger statue, Tom Flip on a multi-year erotic photo project, and archivist Breana Sowers on the accidental art images found in the Key West history collection, and Ian Q. Rowan on the strange and endangered beast known as the Narwhal.

Other presenters include Tamara Alvarez on the mysteries of the artistic process, and Snow Phillips on aspects of Key West architecture, and comedian, actress and yoga teacher Anne Walters on her “flexible” career path.
