READING, Karin Cecile Davidson, AIR

Artist in residence Karin Cecile Davidson will present a reading of her work at The Studios of Key West, 533 Eaton Street on Tues, Jun 23 at 6pm.

Davidson is originally from the Gulf Coast. She is presently completing a novel and sending out her story collection to small presses. Her stories have appeared in The Los Angeles Review, Passages North, Post Road, Iron Horse Literary Review, New Delta Review, R.kv.r.y., storySouth, and elsewhere. Her awards include an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award for 2014, A Room of Her Own Foundation’s Spring 2012 Orlando Prize for Short Fiction, the 2012 Waasmode Short Fiction Prize, and a Peter Taylor Fellowship for the 2012 Kenyon Writers Workshop. Her fiction has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net Award, and shortlisted in several writing competitions, including the Jaimy Gordon Fiction Prize, the Iron Horse Single Author Competition, the Faulkner-Wisdom Writing Competition, the UK Bridport Prize. She has an MFA from Lesley University and is the Interviews Editor at Newfound Journal.
