How to Publish a Novel In 3 Essential Steps:

1) Write a good book
2) Research
3) Submit your work to agents

A crash course on publishing, geared to anyone who has written (or started writing) any sort of book-length work but has minimal information on where to start getting it published traditionally.

Specific topics include: writing and finishing the book, types of publishers, finding a literary agent, and what happens when your novel gets sent out. This engaging presentation emphasizes the importance of heart and craft.

Francesca Padilla is a Dominican-American fiction writer born/raised in New York City. Most recently, she is the recipient of a Walter Dean Myers Grant from We Need Diverse Books, a Pink Door fellowship, and publication in Rough Magick, an anthology edited by Francesca Lia Block and Jessa Marie Mendez.

She is the author of What’s Coming to Me, a young adult novel forthcoming from Soho Teen in 2022.
