Position Available: Marketing Assistant

The Studios of Key West is a vibrant, multidisciplinary arts organization serving the community of Key West and artists from all around the world. Located in a historic Art Deco building on Eaton Street, The Studios presents a busy schedule of programs including workshops, exhibitions, performances and lectures.

Position Overview

This is a seasonal position for approximately 30 hours per week. In office hours are required, although scheduling can be flexible.

The Marketing Assistant supports the success of all marketing, graphic design, advertising, and The Studios of Key West. This position reports directly to the Deputy Director, assisting in the strategy, development and execution of successful marketing campaigns for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Completing basic & recurring graphic design tasks, including: preparing print collateral, web/email graphics, and ad materials
  • Assisting with the maintenance of The Studios’ mass email service and associated databases:

– Drafting eBlasts and email communications.

– Drafting social media posts

– Migrating data from one platform to another.

– Distributing feedback surveys as needed.

  • Updating and maintaining The Studios website to ensure functionality and accuracy.
  • Assisting with social media campaigns and scheduled postings.
  • Maintaining & organizing The Studios online photo and video assets.
  • Maintaining an ongoing list of marketing tasks.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Deputy Director which may include but are not limited to:

– Updating online listings for The Studios with community calendars

– Distributing print materials to local businesses and organizations

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented, highly organized and works efficiently.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Displays clear and compelling writing and oral communication.
  • Team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of and ability to promote appreciation of music, arts and art education and passion for The Studios mission.

Preferred Candidates would have…

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop).
  • Experience using WordPress & Mailchimp Email Marketing.
  • Experience working with Excel.
