Naomi’s Flight is theater like you’ve never seen before: a sixty-minute solo aerial performance that takes place on three asymmetrical suspended steel sculptures. Written and performed by Mara Neimanis, the play is carved out of personal experience, telling the love story of George, an 80 year old care giver, and his wife Naomi, stricken with diabetes and diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Naomi’s Flight is a powerful, poetic, and humorous journey into the courageous and upside down world of day-to-day living with these epidemic diseases and our inverted healthcare system. Neimanis combines text, sculpture, and aerial choreography with her prodigious physical skills and dramatic presence.
Two Performances: Saturday Jan 18 at 8pm and an encore Sunday Matinee performance at 2pm.
