Maps of rivers, deltas and shorelines around the world reveal meandering and fascinating lines. This workshop provides materials and techniques to translate maps of familiar places into artworks to treasure. This is only the start to a new way of seeing and thinking about these places where water meets land.

Most or all of these supplies can be found in the art supply section of Books & Books @ The Studios.

We will be using these items ………..
IF you have them you should bring along, for your own use:
Premier Prismacolor pencils
Sakura Pigma Micron pens, black and colors, thinner width is ideal, as in .005 (!)
(otherwise, you will be sharing from a set of these items which will be supplied for you.)
DO bring a small glass jar or (baby food jar or small short jelly jar with wide mouth)…and it MUST have a snug lid!  Screw top.
If you have several bring them along for those who may not have one.
A small hand-held pencil sharpener, good quality is ideal, one that captures it’s own waste is best.
We need soft clean rags, as from a clean white cotton t-shirt, approximately 6” x 6” …bring if you can.
1 – 12” ruler
1 sharpened lead pencil
1 kneaded or white eraser.
