Class Description

Journey into the Great Round is a yoga, meditation and philosophy class. As artists, we recognize there is a rhythm to our creative process. There are some days we are energized and full of inspiration, and there are other days when we feel stuck and exhausted. Understanding these rhythms and cycles is critical in finding your flow and sustaining a creative practice without getting frustrated and feeling defeated.

In this workshop we learn the philosophy which connects us to the cycles and rhythms of nature, from the waxing and waning of the moon to the pattern of the seasons we come to understand our cycles are the same as those mirrored in nature. This helps us understand when it is time to rest and seek refuge and when it is time to expand and grow.

We will move through an all levels yoga class and guided meditation which embodies this journey. Students will further learn the symbolic language connected to this practice to enhance their meditation practice. Learn how to navigate the ups and downs that are inevitable in all journeys (artistic, relationship, work, parenthood, creative projects, loss, etc.) and understand it is ultimately about personal growth.
