Intro to Chinese Painting & Calligraphy with Bob Schmitt

Explore the roots of Chinese brush painting guided with the gentle humor of brush painter Bob Schmitt. Using traditional materials learn to grind ink and load brush, create Chinese characters, basic forms of rock, trees and pines. Participants will create one complete couplet and one landscape as well as experience the exuberance of working with these ancient materials.
