When Marco meets Marco, an unlikely friendship begins between two boys with the same name but different personalities and outlooks on life. When they discover a mutual love of comic books, the local comic store becomes a sanctuary for both boys as they’re introduced to the Aztec superhero who becomes their guide.

TONY MENESES (Playwright) was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and raised in Albuquerque and Dallas. His plays include Guadalupe in the Guest Room, twenty50, The Hombres, El Borracho, and A Thousand Maids. He is an alum of the Soho Rep. Writer/Director Lab, Ars Nova Play Group, Sundance Institute Playwrights Retreat at Ucross Foundation, The Playwrights Realm Writing Fellowship, and Ensemble Studio Theatre’s Youngblood; his work has been previously developed at the Lark Playwrights’ Week, Berkeley Rep’s Ground Floor, The Denver Center’s Colorado New Play Summi and more.

Danny Sharron

DANNY SHARRON (Director) is a theater director with a focus on developing new plays and musicals, dedicated to elevating the stories of the LGBTQ+, Jewish, and Arab communities. This April, Danny will be directing the world premiere of Hold Me in the Water by Ryan J. Haddad at Playwrights Horizons. He is currently the US Associate Director on the Broadway revival of Cabaret. Prior to that, he spent five years as the Senior Associate Director on Dear Evan Hansen, overseeing four companies: Broadway, West End, Toronto, and the 1st National Tour.

Ben Ubinas

BEN UBIÑAS (Marco B) is a Los Angeles based actor and writer. After studying at the Lee Strasberg Institute and Harvard College, he worked in the theater scene in pre-pandemic New York before moving to LA to pursue film. Ben is thrilled to be working with The Studios of Key West for the first time! Off Broadway: Hazing U  TV: Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, Matlock.

FRANKIE ALVAREZ (Alfonso) is an actor/writer from Miami, FL. He is best known as the passionate Agustín on HBO’s critically-acclaimed series Looking and its companion Looking: The Movie. Film: Rockaway (dir. John J. Budion), Vandal (dir. JD Freixas), The Drummer (dir. Eric Werthman). TV (selected): The Blacklist, Let the Right One In, Fantasy Island, New Amsterdam, Law & Order: SVU, The Brides (pilot), The Good Wife, Blindspot, Controversy (pilot), Madam Secretary, Smash.

Cody Borah

CODY BORAH (Glenn) is an Atlanta-based performer. Originally from Alexandria, Minnesota, he majored in Theatre Arts at the University of Minnesota. His previous roles in Key West include The Lifespan of a Fact, Dear Jack, Dear Louise, and Short Attention Span Theatre at the Red Barn Theatre, Hand to God and Red Speedo at the Waterfront Playhouse, as well as The Pickpocket’s Daughter at The Studios of Key West.
