Front Desk Staff are most customers’ first impression of The Studios of Key West, are key to maintaining strong relationships with our constituents, and play a vital role in the administrative functions of of our busy art center. We are looking for dynamic, creative people to join our team.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Customer service – greeting and helping guests, donors, visiting artists and volunteers; selling tickets, workshop registrations and art sales; answering the phones; and taking tickets for theater and special events
  • Administration – processing mail and contributions; entering confidential information into database and Excel spreadsheets; scanning and making copies; mailing and shipping items; maintaining an inventory of supplies
  • Cash and credit card handling – sales of art, theater tickets and class registrations

During our busy season all of these responsibilities will be happening at the same time so being able to multi task and work as a team while also serving the public in a friendly and professional manner is an essential part of this role. We present exhibitions, theater, concerts, classes and other programs, and provide space for artists through a nationally recognized residency program. Our growing campus includes a 16,000sf main facility with galleries, a theater, classrooms, artist studios, a bookstore and a roof terrace. A former guest house next door and an additional home nearby provide housing for visiting and resident artists.

Job Qualifications:

A Successful Candidate will:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience working in an administrative setting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Mac computers
  • Ability to work independently, utilizing sound judgment

Compensation: Competitive Part Time Hourly Rate $18-$20 based on experience, paid 2x/month. Discounts on classes and events.
