Facilities Coordinator Says Stay Away! Armory to be Tented on October 9 and 10

Facilities Coordinator Lauren McAloon is preparing the Historic Armory for a major termite tenting operation, and is advising all studio artists, visitors, and neighborhood pets to stay away from the building from October 9 to 11. Local neighbors and business owners have been informed, and staff will be preparing for the tenting over the coming week. Local contractor Hammerhead Termite Control has been engaged for this major job. Work is expected to be completed by 11 October, and the doors open again and normal operations will resume from then. McAloon, with the help of volunteers and recent Handyman in Residence Mike Ruetz, has been overseeing season preparations of the facilities, including new main hall floor painting, improvements to the Mango Tree House, and a rejuvenation of our front stoop, doorway, and foyer. Work is being done in time for the 17 October season launch party and celebration for TSKW Friends, Patrons, and Sponsors.
