Fall Kick Off Exhibition at TSKW Features Works by New and Seasoned Instructors
Works by over 25 artists from across the country who are presenting a class, course or workshop at The Studios of Key West during our 2011-12 season, will be showcased from October 20 – November 14, 2011 in the main hall of the Historic Armory in Old Town Key West. “INstruct” will include almost 40 different works in over a dozen distinctive disciplines.
“This will be a seasonal cornucopia of styles and talents flowing from the Main Hall,” says Martha Barnes, Director of Programs & Exhibitions for TSKW. “It is more than an ambitious exhibition to help highlight and kick off our exciting season ahead. It is a collection of contemporary work, unduplicated, which shows the breadth and depth of artists working in America today. We could not ask for a more stellar lineup of instructors with their incredible level of mastery, scholarship and credentials.”
Please join us on Thursday, October 20 from 6-9 pm, during our monthly open house called Walk on White, when the doors are open to the public and the celebration begins. The exhibition will include works for sale by:
Michael Haykin, Robert Burridge, Lazaro Amaral, Frank Francese, Leonid Gervits, Allen Rokach, Gayle Fraas + Duncan Slade, Susan Burrows Dabney, Susan Lenz, Regina Jestrow, Marie Bergstedt, Denise Graham, Anne Ireland, Tom Joris, Poochie Myers, Rick Worth, Mike Rooney, William Welch, Karen Beauprie, Kathy Cooper, Sean Callahan, Michael Marrero, Judi Bradford; and writers: Frank Ortega, Roberta Isleib, and Naomi Cohn.
