A series of workshops exploring opposites and art appreciation utilizing Tamalpa somatic based approach. Through drawing, writing, embodied anatomy, natural movement, dialogue and improvisation we will develop personal perspectives and resources for navigating ourselves and our environments.

Katharine Doughty studied postmodern dance, somatics and visual art at Hampshire College, paving the way for her work as a multimodal artist, massage therapist and movement educator, and eventually leading to training with Anna and Daria Halprin. Her approach inspires both artists and “non-artists” across disciples, ages, abilities, and backgrounds by sparking embodied creativity and assisting in personal growth. Dancing at mile zero since 2003, Katharine is an ISMETA registered somatic educator and somatic based expressive arts therapist.

No prior movement or arts training required. Open to adults of all ages and abilities.
