In this unique 2 day workshop, students will learn the techniques of digital image transferring, while creating distinctive one-of-a kind prints. Learn the process of transferring your images onto a variety of surfaces, including wood, metal foil, and fine art papers.
Day two takes the initial results further with the incorporation of mixed media including watercolors, oil paints and encaustic wax.
This hands-on workshop is for photographers seeking more creative options for their imagery. Emphasis is on exploration and experimentation, not a final product.
PRE-REQ: . Ability to prepare images for printing. Several transfer processes require the printed film to cure overnight for best results. Participants are asked to send 5 – 7 JPG digital files (no larger than 10” x 10 ” 300 dpi) to instructor (firstname.lastname@example.org) for digital printing prior to start of class. Otherwise, they have the option of working with pre printed images provided by the instructor.
