Clip and curate. Ransome guides you through thoughtful experimentation, transforming a Little Golden Books into something brand new. In essence, the students will collage around, over, and with an image already on the page.
Transform a hard-bound Little Golden Books with interventions of paper, drawing tools, acrylic paints and glue becoming a collage. The process encourages innovative engagement on a two-dimensional surface and the resulting books can be the inspiration for larger works, acting as a kind of sketch, or be considered a final work of art in and of itself.
Please note: students are asked to bring a hardbound Little Golden book to act as the base for the collages.

With original seating from its days as a Masonic temple, the Helmerich Theater has been updated to also include floor seating. As a black box theater, the set up is intimate but professional, and sets the stage for concerts and performances that leave guests feeling like they really got to know the performer.
