A tireless and hilarious advocate for causes she believes in, comedienne Christine O’Leary has worked with a who’s who of funny people: Gilbert Gottfried, Joy Behar, Chevy Chase, Sinbad and Tracy Morgan and Margaret Cho. Socially charged and a natural storyteller, there is not an audience that she cannot penetrate… and that is hot.
O’Leary is intuitively and constantly interviewing and assessing her audience. Known for her off-the-cuff interactions, she can hold an audience long enough to raise a half million dollars – she’s also a sought after philanthropic auctioneer. Her solo shows are peppered with local humor and improv.
For her special show at The Studios, O’Leary is joined on stage by students from her Fearless Stand-Up Comedy class (see workshop details online). She urges people to attend the show “…to see these hysterical newborn comics who had more guts than you did when they signed up!”
O’Leary has headlined events with Jennifer Hudson, Indigo Girls, KC and the Sunshine Band, and more. She regularly performs with her Team Green Light Comedy collective to SOLD OUT shows. She lives in New Fairfield with her partner and a little dog and is passionate about using comedy to support causes.
“Comedy is a way to tell the truth, and comedy is a way to solve a problem. And everybody has a little of both.”
“Teaching makes me happy. It’s like freebasing joy…I am a happiness junky”
