Carriage Trade Capital Campaign

The Carriage Trade is a historic former inn and a piece of Key West history. Now home to the Peyton Evans Artist Residency (PEAR) program, the building and its covered courtyard serves the community as a gathering place for workshops, concerts and more.

Join us as we open a new chapter for Key West’s Creative Community!

Your gift can help us:

  • restore a Key West treasure built circa 1860
keep the arts alive in a building visited by Tennessee Williams, Shel Silverstein, Tallulah Bankhead and Rita Hayworth in addition to Presidents Truman and Kennedy
  • attract world class artists to the Peyton Evans Artist in Residence (PEAR) program to share their talents with our community
  • refresh the Courtyard for classes, performances and more
  • create a kitchen that can serve events on our campus as well as the PEARs, workshops, concerts and more
