We’re in search of a few exceptional artist studios to feature during our annual Artist Studio Tours on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 11am-3pm.
Over the past decade, some of the island’s finest artists have participated in the tours, opening their studios for the day to tourists and locals alike. We’re looking for studios that exemplify the wide range of art and artists currently working in Key West – from industrial art spaces to quirky, creative nooks tucked in backyard gardens. Accessibility to the public and proximity to the tour route will be a factor in the final decision.
The Artist Studio Tour is a ticketed, self-guided tour of participating artists in their studios over one afternoon. Since The Studios first began producing the event in 2010, an average of 250-300 visitors enjoy the tour each year.
The 2020 AST tour route will primarily be focused in Old Town, but studios in Midtown may also be considered (depending on their proximity to the route).
There is no fee to apply, and no fee to participate for selected artists. Artists are encouraged to sell their work if they like, and artists assume responsibility for managing any art sales. 100% of any sales go directly to the artist.

The Artist Studio Tour is an opportunity for artists to gain recognition and to showcase their art and creative spaces. It highlights and connects the community with the richness and diversity of the Key West artists.
With one of the tallest buildings – and most spectacular views – in town, the Hugh’s View rooftop terrace serves as The Studios’ creative space in the sky. The terrace sits four stories above street level and offers panoramic views of the island. The Kitwald Stage glows in the golden twilight of our sunset performances.
With original seating from its days as a Masonic temple, the Helmerich Theater has been updated to also include floor seating. As a black box theater, the set up is intimate but professional, and sets the stage for concerts and performances that leave guests feeling like they really got to know the performer.
