Carter Brey is an American cello virtuoso, and the Principal Cellist of the New York Philharmonic. A seasonal New York Philharmonic cello soloist, he has appeared with virtually every major US orchestra. As a member of the New York Philharmonic String Quartet, he concertizes regularly with the Tokyo and Emerson string quartets.
