The 21st century art world offers artists and unrivaled variety of opportunities, but also requires a never-before-seen investment in skills beyond artistic talent. Learn how to step into the new arts landscape and build your arts career.

Based on his book, The Artist Entrepreneur: Finding Success in a New Arts Economy, with Dr. Ron McCurdy and Dr. Rick Goodstein, Lapin crafts a session that explores practical skills artists needed for success in the arts economy. This class will discuss the creative process, idea generation, entrepreneurship, managing your business, grant writing, and fundraising.

Every aspect of the workshop will be practical, personalized, and hands-on. This way, participants leave the session with actual outlines, plans, and strategies that they can put into action immediately. These topics can be presented more generally to cover more subjects or more specifically to go into more depth based on the needs and interests of the participants.
