$55/45 mbrs. (discounted price will display for members upon login)

In Artisan Soapmaking, there are three main methods used – Melt & Pour, Cold Process or Hot Process.  In this class, we will be learning about Melt & Pour and Cold Process soapmaking techniques.

The class will start out with a general discussion about the history of soapmaking as well as a brief demonstration of how to make cold processed soap.  Then the students will start a hands-on class of how to make melt and pour soaps that they can take home with them to use.  Students can choose from two types of soap to make – either Goats Milk Soap or Organic Soap – that can be fragranced with either Lavender Essential Oil or Coconut Lemongrass Fragrance Oil.  In addition to fragrance, our students will also learn how to use cosmetic grade mica to add color to their soap if they wish.
