Art and book lovers unite! One of the best bookstores in America is coming to Key West in 2016! Books & Books @ The Studios is the newest branch of the locally-owned, independently-minded neighborhood bookstore, which won Publishers Weekly ‘Bookstore of the Year’ in 2015, serves as a community center for writers and readers, and hosts a diverse and stunning selection of author events each year.
The shelves are in place; now we need to fill them! With over 75 running feet of shelves and tremendous literary know how at our fingertips, our vision is a bookstore with inventory that is deep as well as smart.
Can you help by pre-buying some books? A check for $500 will get you a $550 credit at the bookstore. That’s a 10% discount on purchases, including books that we special order for you. It’s a great way to get your book shopping underway, and to help build a better Key West.

Of course, you can forego the bookstore credit and get a tax-deduction instead. That would be an even better way to ensure we get the bookstore of our dreams. Independent bookstores are surging across the nation, but that’s not to say it’s going to be easy. Founding donors giving $1,000 or more will be recognized on permanent signage at the store.
Donations are fully tax-deductible and can be made payable to The Studios of Key West, with “Bookstore Donation” in the memo line.

With one of the tallest buildings – and most spectacular views – in town, the Hugh’s View rooftop terrace serves as The Studios’ creative space in the sky. The terrace sits four stories above street level and offers panoramic views of the island. The Kitwald Stage glows in the golden twilight of our sunset performances.
With original seating from its days as a Masonic temple, the Helmerich Theater has been updated to also include floor seating. As a black box theater, the set up is intimate but professional, and sets the stage for concerts and performances that leave guests feeling like they really got to know the performer.
