Residency ProgramA program for artists from around the world, and an opportunity to discover the magic of Key West.

TSKW offers an artists’ residency program designed to encourage the creative, intellectual and personal growth of emerging and established artists and writers. The program grants nearly 40 artists each year the time and space to imagine new artistic work, engage in valuable dialogue and explore island connections.
TSKW’s residency program is community-based and built upon the hope that visiting artists will take inspiration from Key West’s rich artistic past and present, and will engage with — and be inspired by — the remarkable people and culture that surrounds them.

Applications will be accepted through April 30, 2014. You can find more information and the application here.

Studio Artist Program

Since 2007, TSKW has provided long-term studio space for local artists and writers on the second floor of the Historic Armory and 2 doors down at 610 White Street. The public is invited to tour the studios during Walk on White, TSKW’s monthly open house, the third Thursday of each month from 6-9 pm.

The Studio Artist Program at TSKW offers artists and writers not just a place to write, paint, sculpt, photograph, design and imagine new artistic work, but serves as a common ground of creative exchange between all those artists working in close proximity.  Communities are built on this–talking, inspiring, and educating each other by being near one other.

TSKW is firmly dedicated to creating this supportive environment where artists can work alone or with colleagues in collaborative ventures that take them in unexpected new directions.
