Connect / Disconnect: Members’ Winter Show

December 20, 2012 - January 11, 2013

TSKW’s third annual members’ winter show, “Connect/Disconnect,” will be on view in the Main Hall of the Armory from Dec 20-Jan 11. Over 60 of TSKW’s members have submitted works for the show, which will be celebrated during a reception at Walk on White on Thurs, Dec 20 from 6-9pm. The evening will also serve as the reception for a new exhibition entitled “Works by Three Women Artists,” on view in Space 2.

“The theme for the members’ show, “Connect/Disconnect,” was inspired by the paradox of Key West,” says Jed Dodds, executive director. “The island draws people looking to unplug from the ‘real world,’ all the while engaging life at its fullest.”

TSKW’s member artists explored the theme through a variety of different disciplines, including visual art, poetry, and film, and submitted works which explore the ways they connect to the world, the spaces in between, and the ties that keep it all together.
