Jiayin Shen presents dance themes of various cultures. Compositions by Mozart, Schumann, Medelssohn, Medtner, and Frank Liszt.

Pianist Jiayin Shen was the youngest student ever admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China’s most prestigious music school. She brings her extraordinary artistry and charismatic stage presence to the island during her month-long residence at TSKW.

A taste of an intimate salon concert setting, featuring Frédéric Chopin’s music. The artist’s dreams and passions are revealed through the composer’s poetic voice. Jiayin also discusses Chopin’s music, and touches upon his life as a composer, pianist and pedagogue.

An evening comparing The Seasons by P.I. Tchaikovsky with four Chinese compositions which represent various seasons of the year. The concert is held at Square One Restaurant where the music is accompanied by exquisite dishes, created especially for the occasion.
